Mastery.Black Belt Preparation.
Level 6 is the culmination — offensive weapon use, long-gun defenses, active shooter scenarios, and third-party protection under extreme stress. You are the weapon. Everything else is an extension. Twelve months at two to three times per week.
I Am the Weapon
Your mind and body are the most valuable tools. Weapons, environments, and objects are extensions of your capability — not dependencies.
Third-Party Protection
The focus shifts beyond personal safety to protecting others. Strategic thinking ensures your actions keep both yourself and those around you safe.
R.C.A.T. with Third-Party
Redirect, Control, Attack, Take Away — now applied to situations where you’re protecting someone else. Coordinate your actions under pressure.
Offensive Weapon Use
After disarming, use the weapon offensively. Improvise weapons from objects in the environment. Strategic application, not reckless force.
Black Belt is not the end. It’s the beginning of a new phase — training harder, thinking deeper, living better. Setting the example for everyone behind you.

Completing Level 6 qualifies you to test for Black Belt — but the journey doesn’t end there. Black Belts continue developing expertise in instruction, specialized areas of self-defense, and leadership within the ETKM community.
